Foreign Minister Jaishankar on Tuesday said that the timing of BBC documentary on Prime Minister Modi is not accidental and added that the election season may or may not have started in India but it has already started in London and New York.

"There's a phrase - war by other means. Think of it - this is politics by other means," the minister said in an interview to news agency ANI.

India has banned the 2-part BBC documentary.
