Amid the ongoing political tussle over Rajasthan’s top post, posters in support of Congress leader Sachin Pilot have been spotted in Jodhpur.
Sachin Pilot has been pitched as the successor of present CM Ashok Gehlot after Gehlot decided to run for the Congress party chief post.
The election for Congress leadership is due on October 17 and results will be declared on October 19.
High voltage political crisis unfolded on Monday after over 90 MLAs from Gehlot camp submitted their resignation to protest against Sachin Pilot’s candidature as Rajasthan CM.
The MLAs even skipped meeting central leaders one-on-one to find a solution to the deepening crisis.
Congress senior leader and general secretary Ajay Maken said that he along with Mallikarjun Khadge visited Rajasthan as observers. They will submit a report on the current situation to the high command in Delhi.
It is indiscipline to call a meeting parallelly when an official meeting is already called, we'll see what actions can be taken, Maken added on the meeting called by MLA Shanti Dhariwal ahead of the Rajasthan CLP meeting.
