BJP appointed Ramesh Bidhuri--the MP who stoked massive row after his Lok Sabha rant, party's election in-charge in Rajasthan's Tonk.

The decision was made amidst rumours suggesting that Congress leader Sachin Pilot, might be running as a candidate from Tonk in the forthcoming state polls. Tonk has been Pilot's strong base of support.

Bidhuri has been given key poll responsibility days after he abused BSP MP Danish Ali in the house and fired communal slurs at him.

The Saffron party issued a show cause notice to Bidhuri, following massive outrage.

The Opposition too came down heavily on BJP over Bidhuri's conduct.
