Just days before India hosts world leaders for the G20 summit, an American think tank published a survey on what Indians and non-Indians think about India's influence on the world stage.
68% of Indian adults believe that India's influence has grown internationally, according to a Hindustan Times report on a study by Pew Research Center. However, only 28% of adults in 19 other countries think that India's influence has grown.
When it comes to faith in PM Narendra Modi to do the right thing, 79% of Indians trust him, while only 37% of adults in 12 other countries have the same confidence.
Meanwhile, 46% of adults in 23 countries have favourable views of India, while 34% have an unfavourable opinion.
