The Congress party has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah alleging multiple security breaches in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi.

In a letter written on 28 December 2022, Congress' KC Venugopal claimed that Delhi police failed to control the crowd and maintain a perimeter around Rahul Gandhi when the Yatra passed through Delhi on 24 January 2022.

Invoking the assassination of Indira and Rajiv Gandhi, Venugopal asked the government to ensure the security of Z+ protectee Rahul Gandhi when the Bharat Jodo Yatra passes through "sensitive states" of Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.
