Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter and former TRS MP Kavitha took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the ongoing hijab row in Karnataka through a poem written by her in Hindi.
Kavitha shared a picture of the paper she had written the poem on with the caption ‘Wearing and applying Sindoor is my conscious choice. Wearing Hijab is Muskan’s choice. Let women decide what they are comfortable in embracing and wearing. #Don’tTeachUs.
In her poem, she writes that irrespective of whether one wears a turban, a hijab, sindoor or a cross, everyone is an Indian.
Whether it is Pingali Venkayya who made the India tricolour or Abid Hasan Safarani or Iqbal who wrote ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ or Rabindranath Tagore who wrote the national anthem, everyone is an India, she further wrote.
