Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused the Congress of trying to break India and compared them to the Mughals at event in poll-bound Karnataka's Belagavi.
'Once upon a time, the ruler of Delhi used to talk about demolishing temples but today under PM Modi's rule, I am talking about building temples. Earlier, Mughals worked to weaken India. Congress represents new Mughals,' Sarma said.
He added that Congress has a problem whenever BJP speaks about building Ram Mandir.
'Why do you (Congress) speak up for Babri Masjid and not Ram Mandir?' Sarma questioned.
