Facing the backlash over the Wednesday’s incident of the Prime Minister’s “security breach” in Ferozepur, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister OP Soni was made to chant “Modi Zindabad” slogans by the BJP protesters.
Soni’s car was stopped and surrounded by the BJP workers, protesting against the PM’s security breach, when he was driving towards Amritsar.
A video, that is going viral in the social media, shows Soni surrounded by protesting BJP workers on a road, shouting “Jai Shri Ram”, while forcing Soni to chant “Modi Zindabad” slogans, only after which the protesters let him go.
Congress is involved in a political tussle after a controversy erupted over the Prime Minister's security breach in the run-up to the Punjab election in February-March.
Notably, Modi was on his way to an election rally in Ferozepur when his convoy was stuck on a flyover just 30 kms from the Indo-Pak international border. The route was blocked by the protesting farmers, and the PM’s cavalcade had to turn back.
