As states in north India reel under the severe aftermath of incessant rainfall, water-logging Haryana home minister Anil Vij's residence in Ambala was seen on Wednesday.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, the front of the minister's residence is seen flooded. Ironically, Vij himself had inspected the waterlogged areas in his state earlier on Tuesday.

He inspected the waterlogged areas on a boat and monitored the situation.

According to government data, the death toll due to rain-related incidents in Punjab and Haryana is 18. Seven of the deaths took place in Haryana. In Punjab, nearly 10,000 people have so far been evacuated in Patiala, Rupnagar, Moga, Ludhiana, Mohali, SBS Nagar and Fatehgarh Sahib districts, they said.
