Days after Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh and his armed supporters broke through barricades and barged into a police station in Punjab's Ajnala, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann pinned the blame on Pakistan.

Mann said on 26 February 2023, "Do you think 1,000 people are the entire Punjab? It's a few people who are funded by other countries. This is their business. They get money from abroad, from Pakistan."

"The international border in Rajasthan is 2.5 times bigger than Punjab. Why aren't there drone incursions in Rajasthan, and only in Punjab? Because the masters are sitting there to disturb Punjab," the CM added.

"But Punjab does not get disturbed. Punjab is peaceful, and the government is taking it forward on the path of success," Mann concluded by saying.
