Multiple exit poll results have shown that the recent voting in Chhattisgarh is likely to see Congress retaining power. The Bhupesh Baghel government may slide over the majority mark but with a thin margin.
The India Today Axis-My India predicted that Congress is set to win between 40-50 seats, while BJP may secure between 36-46 seats and others may get five seats in 90-member assembly.
While Congress needs at least 46 seats to ensure Bhupesh Baghel becomes chief minister for a second term, the ABP News-C Voter predicted that the grand old party is likely to get between 41-53 seats and rival BJP is likely to manage between 36-48 seats.
The Jan Ki Baat News 24 also gave Congress a majority with the party predicted to get between 42-53 seats while BJP is likely to get somewhere between 34-45 seats.
Today's Chanakya gave 57 seats to Congress while BJP is predicted to fall shot of majority by 13 seats. The voting results are out on December 3.
