Ease of travel for devotees on Vaishno Devi trip from Punjab

Devotees planning to visit Mata Vaishno Devi from Punjab will now have ease of travel, courtesy Indian Railways. Now, devotees can reach Katra in just a few hours via the Vande Bharat Express train.

According to media reports, the Vande Bharat train will stop for 2 minutes each at Jammu, Ludhiana, and Ambala Cantt railway stations. The Vande Bharat Express Train No. 22478-77, operating from Katra, will commence its service from January 4th.

The train from Mata Vaishno Devi will depart at 6 AM, reaching Jammu Tawi at 7:15 AM, passing Sahnewal near Ludhiana at 10:28 AM, arriving at Ambala Cantt at 11:46 AM, and reaching New Delhi at 2 PM. It will return from there at 3 PM and is expected to arrive back in Ludhiana at 6:20 PM.
