The Local Government Minister, Dr. Ravjot Singh, has urged residents of all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Punjab to actively participate in Swachhta Survekshan-2025 to help improve cleanliness and sanitation across the state.
He emphasized that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is committed to making Punjab’s cities cleaner and greener, and citizen participation is crucial in achieving this goal. He also directed ULBs to turn the cleanliness survey into a mass movement.
Encouraging urban residents to provide feedback on sanitation services in their areas, he highlighted that public participation will enhance city rankings in the nationwide survey and contribute to a healthier living environment.
The annual Swachh Survekshan survey, conducted under the Swachh Bharat Mission, evaluates cleanliness standards across cities and towns in India.
Municipal authorities stressed the importance of resident feedback in assessing municipal services like waste management, public hygiene, and waste segregation. They stated that this input will help improve urban sanitation infrastructure and ensure cleaner, more sustainable cities.
Residents can participate in the survey by registering their mobile number on the Swachhta Survey portal or scanning the provided QR code. The survey, available in Punjabi, Hindi, and English, takes just a few minutes to complete. Municipal bodies remain committed to involving citizens in this process to bring real-time improvements to sanitation services.
