Punjab boosts education with new projects in villages

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan inaugurated today various development projects of  schools situated in villages of Deviwala, Sirsari and Kotsukhia of his constituency in the second phase of the ‘Punjab Sikhya Kranti’ campaign.

While addressing in schools, Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that the main objective  of our Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is to make Punjab prosperous and progressive which can only be achieved by providing quality Education to the students.

The Punjab Government is continuously making major reforms and development works in the field of education, due to which parents are prefering to shift their children from private schools to Government schools.

He said that our Government will continue to spend a large portion of the budget on education and more facilities are now being provided in government schools such as computer labs, digital blackboards, state-of-the-art science labs, improved infrastructure, etc. Besides this, training of government school teachers are being provided from foreign institutions so that they can impart quality education to the students.

Sandhwan today inaugurated  development works of  Government High School Deviwala in Kotkapura where worth Rs 54.40 lakhs were spent on development works. Similary, he also inaugurated development works of  Government Primary School, Sirsari and Government Primary School Kotsukhia where lakhs of rupees were spent to improve the infrastructure of the schools.
