Noida police officers are seen rescuing an 8-foot python from a truck in a now-viral video.
An officer can be seen putting the reptile in a bag using the rope-and-sack technique. The police officer also used a wooden stick to uncoil the “unexpected hitchhiker,” ultimately saving the truck driver’s life.
After being removed from the truck’s exterior, the python was seen latching onto a nearby bike. The entire rescue operation took two hours and was headed by Sub Inspector Devendra Rathi, UP police said in a social media post.
“An 8-foot python took the unconventional mode of transportation & found its way into a truck. SI Devendar Rathi Noida Police, along with his team, skillfully used a rope-and-sack technique & safely rescued the python,” the post read.
