On the same day, an explosion occurred near the home of one of the terror attack victims, killing a child and injuring 5 others.
The protestors accused the district administration of "failing" the residents, according to news agency ANI. They also demanded a visit to the area by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to directly report their grievances.
At least 4 people died and 9 others were injured in the terrorist attack on civilian homes on 1 January 2023. Doctors reportedly said that condition of some of the injured victims is "very critical". Some patients have also been airlifted to Jammu.
