Ram Mandir consecration: PM Modi arrives in temple for 'Pran Pratishtha'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya for the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony. The idol of Ram Lalla will be consecrated today.

Dressed in a golden kurta teamed up with a cream dhoti and patka, he walked into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple holding a silver umbrella on a folded red dupatta.

The prime minister then took ‘sankalp’ for the consecration ceremony.

After the ceremony, Modi will address a gathering.

He is also scheduled to visit the Kuber Tila. He will also interact with workers associated with the construction of the temple.

Ahead of the consecration event, PM Modi observed an 11-day 'anushthan'. He visited temple across the country before the main ceremony.

The event is being attended by eminent personalities, including , religious leaders, politicians, sportspersons and film stars. The 'Shubh Muhurat' of the consecration is 12:20 pm.
