Government's press arm, the Press Information Bureau, has rejected a BBC Hindi report that claimed a Chandrayaan-3 technician is selling idlis in Ranchi after not being paid for 18 months.

The PIB tweeted that the report is misleading.

The BBC report said that Deepak Kumar Uprariya worked as a technician at Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited which made the folding platform and sliding door for Chandrayaan-3.

PIB said that HEC did not make any components for Chandrayaan-3. It added that the company supplied some structures to ISRO between 2003 and 2010.
