Congress leader Anumula Revanth Reddy will be sworn-in as the new chief minister of Telangana today. The ceremony will be held at the sprawling Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad. As per a Hindustan Times report, a number of INDIA bloc leaders are expected to attend the event. Citing a Congress functionary, the report said that Reddy dialled a number of opposition leaders over the past two days and personally requested them to attend the ceremony. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Sonia Gandhi are also expected to attend.
On Wednesday, Reddy met with several leaders in Delhi including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Manikrao Thakre, KC Venugopal and Mallikarjun Kharge and invited them to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
