Salman Khan has made significant upgrades to the security of his residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai, following the shooting incident outside his home over eight months ago.
Reports confirm that bulletproof windows have been installed, along with an advanced security system and high-resolution CCTV cameras to monitor any suspicious activity in the vicinity.
Additionally, bulletproof glass has been added to protect the balcony from where Salman often greets his fans. The actor resides on the ground floor of a 1 BHK flat, while his parents live on the first floor.
On April 14, two men on a motorcycle fired four shots at Salman Khan’s residence before fleeing. Salman has informed the police that he believes gangster Lawrence Bishnoi orchestrated the attack, with the aim of harming him and his family.
The longstanding feud between Salman and Bishnoi dates back to the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, in which the actor was convicted. The Bishnoi community holds Blackbucks sacred, and Lawrence Bishnoi has made repeated threats against Salman over the years. The April 14 shooting marked a significant escalation in their ongoing rivalry.
The situation took another dangerous turn in October when former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, a close associate of Salman Khan, was murdered in Mumbai.
The key accused in the murder is Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol, who was arrested in the United States. The Mumbai Police chargesheet revealed that Siddique’s close ties with Salman Khan were a primary motive behind his assassination.
