The Supreme Court pulled up Patanjali founder Baba Ramdev for absolute defiance of its order. The Bench cited gross violation of the undertaking given to court that the company would stop issuing misleading advertisements. Ramdev and Patanjali MD Acharya Balkrishna appeared in court after contempt notices were sent against them, and rendered an unconditional apology. The top court also asked the Centre 'why the Ministry of AYUSH chose to keep its eyes shut' when Patanjali went to town saying there was no remedy for Covid in allopathy.
