India's defence minister Rajnath Singh chaired a meeting of his counterparts from the member-nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Delhi on April 28, 2023.

Rajnath raised the menace of terrorism at the meeting and asked all SCO members to fight it in a united fashion. He warned that terrorists are now using new avenues like social media and crowdfunding to further their nefarious activities.

The Indian minister said that if SCO has to "emerge stronger", all countries must "fight together".
