Eknath Shinde will remain the chief minister of Maharashtra and the MLAs of his faction will not be disqualified. Speaking on the petitions seeking disqualification of Shiv Sena MLAs belonging to the Shinde faction, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar said he has no role to play in tussle between warring political leaders. In a major disappointment for Maharashtra's former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Narwekar held Shinde's faction as the real Shiv Sena.
