Several missing after Mundka fire; 2 company owners arrested, building owner on the run

Tragic scenes unfolded in outer Delhi's Mundka when a massive fire engulfed a building, killing at least 27 people and injuring a dozen other people.

The blaze ripped through a three-storey commercial building on Friday evening.

In videos that emerged on social media, people could be heard crying for help while others were seen jumping from the building in a desperate attempt to escape the flames.

People could be seen using ropes to escape the building from where thick black smoke was coming out. Some survivors also used a narrow space in the building to climb down.

Meanwhile, distraught relatives of the victims thronged the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital looking for their family members. Several people said they were unable to locate their loved ones after the inferno.

Harish and Varun Goel, the owners of the company where CCTVs were being made, have been arrested. Reports said Manish Larka the owner of the building is on the run.
