Severe cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ will not hit the Gujarat coast as it is likely to pass at a distance of 200-300 km from the Porbandar coast, IMD said in its latest forecast on Saturday.

However, the storm will bring thunderstorms and strong wind in the western state in the next five days.

"During the next two days, the Saurashtra-Kutch region will witness a wind speed of up to 30-50 kmph, PTI reported quoting a Met official.

The met dept has advised fishermen to not venture into the sea for the next five days.
