Aaftab Poonawala, who allegedly murdered his girlfriend Shraddha Walkar, withdrew his bail application on 22 December 2022.

The bail petition had been filed erroneously without Aaftab's consent, and was withdrawn due to miscommunication between Aaftab and his lawyer, an NDTV report said.

Aaftab will be filing a bail petition after Delhi police submit the chargesheet against him in court.

He allegedly murdered Shraddha in May 2022, and then chopped her body into 35 pieces. The body parts were stored in a refrigerate at the duo's home while he slowly disposed of them.

A DNA test recently confirmed that bones found by Delhi police after questioning Aaftab were Shraddha's.
