A mural by Singaporean artist Yip Yew Chong in Tamil Nadu’s Ukkadam has caught the fancy of Indians online.

Chong created a 4-storey high mural celebrating the local cuisine. The mural features a man pouring steaming hot filter coffee into a glass and a woman making dosa. In the background, there is a banana leaf with delicacies of the state. It also showed local vendors and a cat.

The artist also posted an Instagram reel showing a glimpse of the people and surroundings that inspired him to paint the mural.

"Immersing myself in the community and local culture allows me to paint with my heart for the community. I knew many in the community could relate and love the mural because when they stopped by, they gave me the "Supera" hand signals,"  Chong wrote in the caption.

Netizens have applauded the artist for his creativity and eye for detail.
