Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK passed away late on Tuesday night. Reports said the 53-year-old fell ill while performing at Nazrul Manch in front of thousands of his fans at an event in Kolkata.
The organisers of the event rushed the popular singer to CMRI hospital in West Bengal’s capital city where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Initial reports quoting doctors said that the singer died of a massive heart attack.
KK released his first album Pal in 1999. The singer-composer then focussed more on Bollywood than on his independent music, giving hits such as Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999 and Dus Bahane in 2005 film Dus, 2005.

He was born in Delhi and was also known for his electric live shows. His Instagram page had been sharing updates from his concert in Kolkata.
