The Indian Museum in Kolkata has reportedly received a bomb threat over email. The local media is reporting that the Kolkata Police received an email early on Friday. The sender said they have placed explosives inside the Indian Museum and asked the police to publicise its name by giving it to the media.

'Give our group's name to media or will continue to cause chaos,' the email read.

The police and bomb squad have reached the location and are carrying out a sanitation exercise. A sign stuck outside the building's gate said that visitors' entry to the museum has been restricted for a few hours.
