When Rachana met Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao in 2019, she was struggling to pay her college fees.
3 years later, on Monday, she returned with a BTech degree in Computer Science and 4 jobs offers to thank KT Rama Rao.
The Telangana minister tweeted that Rachana has job offers from IT giants like Cognizant and Wipro.
In July 19, a twitter user had tagged KT Rama Rao asking him to help Rachana, an orphan. The user had also attached a notice issue by the state’s higher education department in Rachana’s name asking her to pay the fees.
The minister replied to the tweet saying he would personally look into it. He then met Rachana and offered her a cheque.
When Rachana met her benefactor on Monday, she turned emotional and tied a 'rakhi' to him. The young woman bought a customised silver 'rakhi' with the money she saved.
KT Rama Rao has promised to help Rachana achieve her dream of becoming a civil servant.
