A thick layer of smog engulfed Delhi in the morning after people burst crackers on Diwali night despite a ban by the Supreme Court.
Visuals from various parts of Delhi on November 13 showed thick haze covering the roads, significantly reducing visibility.
However, the firecrackers being burst this year was reportedly negligible when compared to the last year, according to residents in several localities, PTI reported.
Delhi has been reeling under a severe pollution situation for the last several days.
A sudden spell of rain on Thursday night had provided some respite as the air quality improved. The Delhi government is also considering inducing artificial rain.
