Mumbai Police have filed an FIR against Sajjan Jindal, the Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, for allegedly sexually harassing and assaulting a 30-year-old woman multiple times over a period of nearly two years.

According to the FIR, accessed by multiple media organisations, the complainant met Jindal in October 2021 in Dubai during an IPL match.

They became acquainted and met several times, but she claims she was sexually assaulted at the accused's office in BKC on January 24, 2022.

She has also accused the police of not registering her case until she approached the Bombay High Court on December 5, 2023.

The FIR says that the complainant first approached the police with her complaint on February 16, 2023.

It further states that at that point, she was approached by people purportedly representing Jindal who allegedly urged her to settle the matter and withdraw her complaint.

The FIR was registered on December 13, 2023, a day after the police were ordered to do so by the court.
