A bill that shows wheat priced at Rs 1.6 per kg has gone viral. Shared by Parveen Kaswan, an Indian Forest Service officer, the receipt is from 1987 when his grandfather sold wheat to Food Corporation of India.
Kaswan mentioned that the bill is called a 'J Form', a sale receipt of a farmer's agricultural produce in grain market or mandis.
The officer also shared that his grandfather had a habit of collecting documents and keeping all the records intact.
Many netizens thanked Kaswan for posting the bill saying that it helped them learn about 'J form' for the first time while others expressed amazement at how people were good at keeping records in earlier times.
