Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a sleeveless jacket made of material recycled from plastic bottles to Parliament on Wednesday.
The prime minister was seen wearing a light blue "sadri" jacket as he sat in the Rajya Sabha in the morning.
The jacket Modi was wearing was made of material recycled from plastic bottles, officials said.
The Indian Oil Corporation presented the jacket to the Prime Minister during the India Energy Week in Bengaluru. As part of the 'Unbottled' initiative of the oil company, the Prime Minister had launched uniforms made from recycled plastic, NDTV reported.
Over 10 crore PET bottles will be recycled to make sustainable clothes for Indian oil employees and armed forces, as per India Today.
