In a big relief for delivery agents, Zomato has launched 'rest points' to ensure the well-being of its employees.

Making the announcement on social media, Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal said the initiative has been brought under 'The Shelter Project' to support the well-being of delivery partners of various companies.

Goyal further said the idea has been welcomed by not just Zomato delivery partners but delivery partners of multiple last-mile delivery players.

These shelters aim to provide a space for all delivery partners to rest, recharge and take a moment for themselves in order to create an environment where they feel safe and secure, Zomato said in its blog.

The delivery agents can avail facilities like drinking water, phone-charging stations, access to washrooms, high-speed internet, a 24×7 helpdesk and first-aid support at these points.

Presently, two rest points are operational in Gurugram and there are more expected in other areas in the coming days.
