Umar Khalid acquitted in 2020 Delhi riots case

Former JNU student Umar Khalid was acquitted by a Delhi Court in a case linked to 2020 Delhi riots along with another student leader Khalid Saifi. The duo were granted bail in a stone-throwing case in Delhi's Chandbagh, but were jail in a different case. Khalid was booked under UAPA Act for allegedly masterminding the February 2020 riots in which 53 people had died
