With the last scheduled meeting of the United Nations Security Council taking place on 23 December 2022, India's rotational presidency of the international body came to a close.

The end of December will also mark the culmination of India's 2-year tenure on the Security Council.

Speaking at the wrap-up session, India's ambassador to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj said that India did not hesitate to raise its voice on the platform against common enemies of humanity like terrorism.

She said that India spoke out in support of peace, security, and prosperity, while acting as a delegation for 1/6th of humanity.
