Unprovoked firing by Pak Rangers in J&K's Arnia sector, says BSF as exchange continues

India's Border Security Force (BSF) troops and Pakistan Rangers exchanged fire in Jammu and Kashmir's Arnia Sector on October 26, BSF PRO in a statement said.

As per the official statement by the BSF," at about 2000 hrs unprovoked firing started by Pak Rangers on BSF posts in Arnia area which was befittingly retaliated by BSF troops. The firing is still on.”, it added.

Significantly, the sudden trade of fire comes on the day when security forces in a joint operation neutralised five unidentified militants attached with the Lashkar group, as per Kashmir Police. 

The terrorists were gunned down during an encounter that broke out in Valley's Machchal sector.
