Days after an Indian diplomatic mission in the American city of San Francisco was attacked for the second time in five months, US lawmakers condemned the incident.
Congressmen Ro Khanna and Michael Waltz, co-chairs of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian-Americans, issued a joint statement on July 6.
They condemned the attempted arson at the Indian consulate in San Francisco and also criticised "violent rhetoric" against the Indian ambassador to US Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
Pro-Khalistani elements took responsibility for the attack and threats.
