Describing Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu as a 'useless turncoat,' Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Feb 26 stated that Sidhu, considered political deadwood, becomes a liability for any party he joins.

Mann pointed out Sidhu's avoidance of the Power department as a minister and criticized his frequent changes in political allegiance, eroding public trust.

The Chief Minister also asserted that the opposition is unable to accept the government's achievements, such as free power to 90% households, widespread access to free medicines, and the state's acquisition of a private thermal plant for Rs 1080 crore.

Mann urged the public not to be swayed by leaders who have lost relevance and faced rejection from the people.
