Uttar Pradesh: junior female judge dies by suicide in Badaun

A civil judge posted in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun died by suicide at her official residence on Saturday.

The body of the 27-year-old judge, identified as Jyotsna Rai, was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside her home.

According to media reports, the 27-year-old judge hailed from Mau and was serving in Badaun for a year.

A suicide note, along with other documents, was recovered from her room.

Senior Superintendent of Police of Budaun Alok Priyadarshi said that prima facie it seems to be a case of mental stress, India Today report said.
