In Uttra Pradesh’s Kannauj district, a school transformed one of its classrooms into a swimming pool to increase the attendance of the students, who reportedly stopped attending due to the soaring temperatures in the state.
In a video, which has gone viral on social media, young students at a primary school in Mahsaunapur village were seen enjoying the makeshift pool.
Principal of the school, Vaibhav Rajput said that heat had led to a decrease in the attendance of students in the school, due to which the school authorities took the decision.
"Now children have started coming to school. They are both studying and enjoying the swimming pool in the classroom," he added.
