A bride in Uttarakhand cancelled her wedding after receiving a low priced lehenga from the groom's side. The wedding attire was sent by the groom's father.
Multiple reports suggest that the woman broke up with her fiancé after finding out that her wedding lehenga was worth Rs 10,000.
The woman, who is a resident of Almora, refused to marry citing lehenga's poor quality.
The matter aggravated after groom's side, as per a Times of India report, approached Kotwali Police saying that wedding cards were already printed.
Both sides eventually agreed to settle the matter and call off the wedding scheduled for November 5. The two got engaged in June this year.
