The loco pilot of the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express prevented a possible major accident as he spotted stones and rods placed on the tracks.
The driver applied emergency brakes to stop the train just in time. The incident occurred around 9.55 a.m. near Chittorgarh district on October 2.
A video has surfaced showing railway staff removing the stones from the tracks.
The railway police force and the district police are conducting an investigation into what appears to be a 'deliberate act of sabotage'.
The train, which covers a distance of 435 kilometres in 6 hours and 15 minutes, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24.
