In a latest show of support for anti-hijab protests in Iran, women in Kerala took to the streets to extend their solidarity for the movement.

A group of protesters on November 6 burnt hijabs in front of Kozhikode town hall at the end of a free thinking session.

The protesters reportedly included a women’s rights  group that set the hijabs ablaze while raising slogans in solidarity with the protests in Iran.

Meanwhile, crackdown on dissenters continue in Iran, which has been rocked by serious protests over the draconian hijab law.

The recent flare up resulted in the death of another Kurdish woman, after Mahsa Amini.

Students from universities took to the streets, staged sit-ins in the country, besides incidents of arsons that have been reported in Tehran.
