Incidents of crocodiles entering residential areas along with overflowing waters from nearby lakes or nullahs are often reported during the monsoon season.

One such incident has been reported from Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri. A video doing rounds on social media shows a crocodile wading through a narrow water-logged street.

According to media reports, the crocodile was spotted near an old bus stand in Shivpuri on Sunday morning following which authorities were informed. The eight-foot-long crocodile was successfully rescued after an hour-long exercise by a rescue team from Madhav National Park and later released in a lake.

According to officials, the crocodile might have entered the colony from a swollen nullah next to it.
