Actor-comedian Vir Das is baffled over an order of bananas he called for in America. Das had ordered two bananas as a post-workout snack but instead of receiving the fruits au naturel, he got a peeled, sliced, stacked and packaged version.
Sharing a video on social media, Das said he 'justed wanted bananas for lunch,' not its packaged version. In the video, he lists why serving or selling bananas like that is pointless.
Vir Das goes on to elaborate that entire process involves use of extra people who would have had to cut and package the fruit. He also pointed out that the use of plastic adds to the pollution. The comedian also rued the fact that one would need cutlery to eat the sliced bananas.
Vir Das adds he is amazed as to why somebody would feel the need to package something that has already been packaged by God. His parting shot was that only in American do people think they can do better than God.
