The NH-109 in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag witnessed traffic snarls following a sudden landslide on Thursday morning.
In a video shared by news agency ANI, portion of a mountain can be seen gradually slipping onto the road, leaving people in frenzy. The debris blocked the vehicular passage as commuters can be seen coming out of their vehicles.
The road blockages in the district resulted in long queues on both sides as travellers' movement was prevented owing to the landslide.

The highway was later reopened. The district authorties confirmed that the stuck travelleres involved mostly Kedarnath pilgrims who were stpopped at safe locations in Tilwara, Agastyamuni, Guptkashi.
