Woman killed, 17 injured as platform collapses at Delhi's Kalkaji Mandir

A 45-year-old woman died and about 17 other people were injured when a wooden platform with iron frame collapsed in Delhi's Kalkaji Mandir in the early hours of January 28.

The incident occurred during a Mata Jagran event at the temple.

The condition of the injured persons is said to be stable, with a few having suffered fractures.

Delhi Police said that around 1500-1600 people had gathered at the event for which permission was not granted.

A case has been registered against the organisers.
