The YouTube channel of government-run Sansad TV has been ‘terminated’ by the US-based social media platform ‘for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines’.
The channel of Sansad TV which broadcasts live proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as well as recorded programmes, was 'terminated' by the platform early Tuesday morning.
It was, however, not immediately clear which guidelines had been violated by the YouTube channel.
A report in the Indian Express said that Google, which owns YouTube, has not elicited a response so far.
The YouTube account also returned a 404 error hours after it highlighted the account termination message.
According to the video platform, it enforces community guidelines equally for everyone by ‘using a combination of human reviewers and machine learning’.
